From 2014 to 2022, we have reduced our operational carbon emissions by 69%*. Our buildings use 100% renewable and locally sourced electricity. We are taking steps to foster sustainable procurement with our suppliers and to improve our water and waste management. We make efforts to ensure a responsible life cycle of our ICT equipment by négociating with our suppliers and by donating used equipment to restoring & recycling partners.

There’s still much more that needs to be done to tackle the climate challenge. We are aware of this and our ambition is to share our progress in this area.

ING Group publishes an annual climate report, highlighting our efforts to assess and reduce climate risks. We have developed the Terra approach, a methodology to align our lending portfolio with the goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.
