The term “Undertaking for Collective Investment” (hereafter referred to as ‘UCI’) is a general term used for an entity, with or without legal personality, that collects capital from the public and invests it collectively in a basket of securities on the principle of risk spread. UCIs are a form of collective portfolio management. The most popular UCIs are SICAVs.
