Some scammers put a 5-euro note on the ground to draw your attention and steal your card when you bend down to pick it up.</li><li>In case of doubt, abort the transaction and take your card from the machine.</li><li>If you call Card Stop because you think your card was swallowed by an ATM (Selfbank) always use your own phone. Scammers can, of course, try to fool you by saying that they experienced the same problem and are already in contact with Card Stop. If you were to use their phone, you will not be connected with Card Stop but will be speaking to one of these criminals.</li></ul><p><strong>Contacless payment and payment without a PIN</strong></p><p>The new generation of debit and credit cards facilitates contactless payment (i.e. without a PIN) for purchases of less than 50 euros, to which a limit of 100 euros applies.
