They use the fact that the alert is displayed automatically on your phone&apos;s screen. It is then very difficult to resist the temptation to click it.</p><p>Then the message will always try to scare you or incite a sense of urgency.</p><p>We are currently seeing a strong increase in fake text messages that appear to come from the bank, Itsme, Card Stop or FPS Finance with a link to your online bank. Scammers will try to trick you, whereas the ING QR code screen on your smartphone will show what you&apos;re going to approve or sign off in. If something doesn&apos;t match up, stop.
