The Sustainable Buildings Guide is a free digital tool that helps you identify which investments to make to improve the energy performance of your properties.
With a clear and intuitive dashboard, it allows you to visualise the improvement in energy performance score, the savings achieved, the reduction in CO2 emissions and the timeframe in which your investments pay for themselves. It also helps you prioritise and plan your investments according to your own scenarios.

It assigns a score, expressed in kWh/m2, as well as a letter and a colour, which correspond to different ranges of energy performance. They vary from G (high energy consumption, poor score) to A(++) (low energy consumption, good score) and from red to green. In Belgium, the criteria for awarding the energy label differ from region to region.

It has also become essential for renting (and indexing rents) or selling a residential building, and for obtaining a building permit or renovation permit for a building.
The regulations will become increasingly strict in the coming years. The EU's ambition is for all buildings to be carbon neutral by 2050.

Under no circumstances can it replace an official EPC certificate issued by an accredited energy auditor. To get a more concrete idea, ask your contractor for a quote. ING Belgium S.A. does not guarantee that the information received is correct and complete. It cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the tool and the information it makes available.
