Jérôme Breton has a passion for agriculture and for his region: "I wanted to develop an economic activity that builds on agriculture in my region. The aim was to be able to produce biomethane, a purified biogas that is injected into the natural gas network. In this way, we are helping to make the gas supply more sustainable. We can replace many fossil energy sources with electricity. But some things cannot be electrified today. Then biomethane is the easiest and least expensive solution for greening."
The entrepreneur remains ambitious. ‘We also want to open new branches in other locations in Wallonia, in collaboration with farmers and local actors. This will allow us to further scale up biomethane production, while taking into account the reality on the ground.’
