Companies looking to finance a sustainable project, can request a reduction of 25 bps on the proposed interest rate. This applies to both investment credits and leasing.
The project must contribute to climate action and/or environmental sustainability, such as investments in renewable energy or waste treatment. Certain sectors, like the weapons industry, and certain activities, such as real estate development, are excluded.

The partnership between ING and the EIB has a long track record. Through eight previous programmes, more than 4 100 companies have received financing totalling €2.85 billion since 2009.

Companies active in certain sectors (such as the weapons or tobacco industry, real estate development, ...) are excluded. Activities with a negative net impact on the environment, purely financial transactions and public institutions are not eligible as well.

Moreover, the discount rate only applies to projects of a sustainable nature. Check the EIB's website to verify whether your project meets the eligibility criteria.
Each application is assessed individually, taking into account the EIB's general and sustainability criteria and ING's lending policy.
