This primarily applies to counterparties:</span></span></p><ul><li><span><span>the </span></span><span><strong><span>Beneficiary</span></strong></span><span><span> for Credit Transfers</span></span></li><li><span><span>the </span></span><span><strong><span>Debtor</span></strong></span><span><span> for Direct Debits</span></span></li></ul><p> </p><p><span><span>For originators, no action is required. ING will continue to replace the address provided in the XML with the official name and address of the account holder as recorded in our systems.</span></span></p><p><span lang=\"EN-US\" dir=\"ltr\"><span><span>If SEPA payment files still contain counterparty addresses in an unstructured format, <span>ING will remove these addresses to ensure that payments can continue to be processed smoothly</span>. In general, the counterparty’s address is not mandatory for SEPA transactions. However, an exception applies to SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) transactions involving counterparties outside the European Economic Area (EEA), where the address remains mandatory. </span></span></span></p><p>Although <strong>hybrid addresses</strong> will remain accepted after this deadline, ING strongly recommends that clients migrate to fully structured addresses as soon as possible.
