Your ING debit card is strictly personal and can only be used with the personal identification number (PIN) known only by you. Never share your code or write it down anywhere. Choose a code that is easy to remember but difficult to guess.</p><p>If you have applied for a new current account, you can request a new PIN code via the ING Banking app (connection via itsme® for new customers) or you will receive your secret PIN code by SMS after receiving your new debit card by post.</p><p>The same applies to cards being replaced after loss, theft or (attempted) fraudulent use. The amount of this reservation can be adjusted later. Example:<br />-  Buying fuel: the initial amount of the reservation is set by the merchant<br />    and is greater than the potential purchase. Once you have filled up, the<br />    reservation is adjusted to the actual purchase amount and your available<br />    amount is updated.<br />-  Guarantee (hotel, car rental, etc.).<br />-  Transactions in foreign currency: the reservation in euro is an estimated<br />    amount. The final amount of the transaction will be determined based<br />    on the exchange rate at the time of processing.</li><li>Transaction processing: The transaction is then processed by the merchant. This process can take from a few minutes to several days.
